Blogger's Note: By golly its already 2010. And we're already going back to university. Time most certainly does fly around these parts. We're heading back to Melbourne in less than 36 hours. This summer break has of course, like the one before been nothing short of great. Its great to still have so many friends and family around to look forward to coming back to, and while at times the summer runs the risk of being a total bore if you can't find anything to do, its always great to be home. Can't for what God has in store for 2010, its going to be a rockin' year! (Any early indication of this includes the possession of John Mayer tickets)

Haven't been here in many long years, the place sure has changed, not to mention grown several acres bigger. The chickens have all been stolen, true story; so all that's left are the fruits - many fruits.

Blogger's Note: Last weekend, our good friend Grace managed to successfully pry us out of our comfortable gaming chair and make us take her into good old KL town for food. Hadn't been to Chinatown in many, many, many years so decided to bring her there to see if the Wan Ton Mee stall was still open. Guess what? It still was! The shop is just as dodgey and dirty as it was all those many years ago, the ceiling is still falling apart, and the Wan Ton Mee is still as rockin' as it used to be. And so was the uncle that sells the Chinese pancakes too. The Singaporean girl is yet to taste better Wan Ton Mee in her home country since that day.

We have made new friends, gotten closer to the rest, discovered things about ourselves that build us up and made us better people, we were constantly reminded that God's very unique plans occasionally surpasses pretty much everything else we think will happen and then some, lost an iPod touch because we whacked the home button too hard and had an Xbox red ring on us twice in one year, amongst many things. Its been a pretty good 2009, and we can't wait for 2010. Wondermilk with Sarah, Wei Xiong and Alicia plus a random shot from Hisense Arena right after beautiful woman - the weather was good.

Conference Reflections, So Far.

Blogger's Note: Hello, sorry I haven't been around for a good one month. Things in Uni tend to tie you down to other non-essential commitments in life (ie. assignments). Good news! I'm back!

Planetshakers Conference, 2009.

For the past 5 days, I have been running on 5 hours of sleep on average per night.
Getting home at midnight and waking up at 6 to meet call time and serve.
Its flipping awesome good fun to get to shoot such a massive global event.
(But when you put it in perspective, this 'massive global event' is all part of God's big plan in things.)
And every night when I get home and I go on Facebook.
I see countless testimonies of how God is changing, shaping and impacting lives.
Its a social network for the world and we've got stories of God's faithfulness going all over it.
And I can't help but smile each time I go on FB and see how this conference is changing (and still changing) countless people's lives.

Blogger's Note:Hello everyone. Settling back in has been pretty good so far. And it tends to feel like we never left sometimes. My timetable this year, is even more awesome than last year. I start everyday at 10am and end at 1pm. That effectively leaves me with the rest of the day to do absolutely nothing! Joyous, joy. On a side note, Student Services are extremely horrible and don't know how to take nice pictures.

Blogger's Note: I was talking to someone this morning about certain things that have been happening in that someone's life. And then it suddenly hit me that I was speaking to myself. God isn't extra holy in Melbourne where we're often surrounded by an awesome bunch of God-loving people like ourselves, and then totally non-existent back home in Malaysia, He's everywhere whether or not we choose to realise this undeniable fact of life, and sometimes when we start to ignore Him, He's going to get our attention one way or another. I suppose its these summer trips back that are going to make the walk with God a whole lot more interesting and intimate year after the year. We can't wait to get, heck if we could get a flight back now, we would. It's going to be another whole year of fun in Melbourne and we know it! And He's gonna be there all the way.

Bloggers Note: I have lost count of the number of times I have been booted out of MSN, lagged out in World of Warcraft and spent time staring dismally at the turtle-like speed at which my new episode of Lost. I don't care if another underwater cable burst or the nearest switch station has been invaded by VCD pirates. I want my internet to be what it is - broadband. Not some stupid excuse for an internet connection that's worst than third world country broadband. This is me, this is me being very, very angry.

Dear Internet Service Provider,

I am very, very disappointed with the quality of service being provided to me at this moment. While I understand that due to the fact that you fail to keep up with the ever increasing amount of broadband subscribers in this country, it is by no means whatsoever a cheap excuse for you to provide us - your loyal customers who have been with you for several years now, with cheap useless internet that can't even load Facebook properly and iGoogle is loaded in a semi-broken state.

I hope these evil cupcakes of doom will send a crystal, clear message pertaining to the seriousness of my open letter to your people.

If you don't buck up, I am going back to dial-up. At least their modem makes nice buzzy noises when it attempts to connect.

Blogger's Note: Probably overdue by 24 hours since it's already the New Year, but what the heck. This might probably be one of the longest written posts you've gotten in awhile. I haven't been able to do much shooting here in KL. Probably just not very inspired and the lack of Photoshop on my PC is proving to be another issue. Nevertheless, once I get started I will start shooting again. Promise, promise.

I suppose, in every sense of it, 2008 has been a life-changing year for me. Physically (yes) and mentally. The year has gone by so flipping fast that it's been rather surreal. Month in month out and finally look where we are - 2009.

The housemates I have come to know and love and shown me that college doesn't always have to be about the books:

Sig-"Siggle Wiggles"-mund and Zhen Yip - my retarded immediate housemates who have chased me around the house, forced me to lock myself in my room and spent the late nights up talking about all the emotional trauma that we have to go through each day.

Block 5 - Tiff and your fridge for a floormate, for the evenings in your little room where we would plot to take over the world. Lydia for all the evenings slaving away in your room to do miscellaneous media related assignments and doing my hair when I needed you to. Joy and Deva for the insightful, mature, life-changing discussions we have into the night. Han Yi, you're unofficially official and you know I love you, whatever I need to say about you, you already know.

Block 6 - Well, mainly Chee Yuen and Nikko, life without you two would be like not having two people who would potentially blow shit up and we'd have no mess to clean up. Yeong Shen for the one awesome evening where we jammed away while everyone else got drunk.

Block 7 - For staging all the crazy parties and insane birthday parties. The intense Dota games every other evening. And the brilliant idea of coming up with the jersey.

Abigail - Eh, lets watch Heroes when season 4 comes out okay?

Chen Yi and Drew - Chen Yi, try not to set another carpet on fire. Drew, less QQ more PewPew.

My crazy Urbanlife who through them I have grown so much and become way more matured then I was.

Wei Xiong, Val and Debs. My three awesome friends - a photographer, a dancer and a muso. Life there without the three of you would be so different.

Tim, for being a big brother and leader for me in every sense of the word.

Sannie for always being there for me when I needed a big sister to talk to and when you just needed someone to pick a fight with.

Blogger's Note: Australians celebrate Father's Day on the first week of September, which is a strange departure from the normal Father's Day celebrations back home that are in June. But anyway, here's one for my father figure.

My grandfather didn't teach me how to become a rocket scientist or a billionaire.
But he did teach me one thing - love God with all your heart.
And I never knew how it would translate in the love that I have for my Father.
Until it hit me today in church.
That what one generation passes on to another could really make a change every generation that comes after it.
And for that, I thank God for my grandfather.

Blogger's Note: Our country celebrates it's 51st birthday today. I would have gotten a cake. But I think it melted. Either that or I ate it up. One or the other, who knows these days.

Picture this - the National Day parade.
Thousands of people rock up to celebrate our country's finest hour, and watch the parade.
Suddenly. The earth beneath begins to shake.
Giant crater begins to open up beneath the road, all the floats and parade displays begin to sink in.
Mass panic ensues. Everyone runs away. Running.
We have a good laugh.
